“Easy Palak Pulav Recipe | Healthy Spinach Rice for PG & Busy Days”

 

🛒 Ingredients

#200 grams basmati rice

#1 bunch palak (spinach)

#1 onion (sliced)

#2–3 green chillies

#1 tsp ginger-garlic paste (or fresh while grinding)

#Few coriander leaves (optional)

#1 small tomato (optional)

#2 tbsp oil or ghee

#1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)

#1 small cinnamon stick

#2 cloves

#Salt to taste

#Water as needed


🥣 Preparation

Wash spinach well

Boil it for 2 minutes

Immediately transfer to cold water (keeps color bright 🌿)

In a mixi jar, add:

Palak

Ginger

Garlic

Green chillies

Tomato & coriander (optional)

👉 Grind into smooth paste

Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes

👩‍🍳 Method

Heat oil /Ghee in cooker

Add jeera, cinnamon, and cloves 

Add sliced onions and sauté till soft

Add prepared palak paste and cook for 2–3 minutes

Add 1 table spoon red chilly powder 

Add 1 table spoon garam masala 

Add 1/2 table spoon turmeric powder 

Mix it well 

Add soaked basmati rice (200g) and mix gently

Add salt and required water

(approx 2 cups water for 200g rice)

Cook for 2 whistles

🍽️ Serving

Serve hot with:

Curd 🥣

Onion salad 🧅

Pickle 🍋

Papad
