## Ingredients



* 1 cup whole green gram  (soaked for 4–6 hours)

* 2–3 green chilies

* 1 inch ginger

* cumin seeds

* Salt to taste

* Water as required

* Oil for cooking

* Finely chopped onions

* Coriander leaves


## How to Make Moong Dal Dosa (Pesarattu)

### Step 1: Prepare the Batter

Drain the soaked green gram  and add it to a blender. Add green chilies, ginger, salt, and a little water. Grind into a smooth batter (slightly coarse texture is also fine).

### Step 2: Heat the Pan

Heat a non-stick or cast iron pan. Lightly grease it with oil.

### Step 3: Make the Dosa

Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it in a circular motion like a dosa.


### Step 4: Add Toppings

Sprinkle chopped onions, cumin seeds, and coriander leaves on top (optional).

### Step 5: Cook

Drizzle oil around the edges and cook until the dosa turns crispy and golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for a minute.

## Step 6: Serve Hot

Serve with coconut chutney, ginger chutney, or peanut chutney 


## Tips for Perfect Pesarattu

* Do not make the batter too watery

* No fermentation is required

* Use a hot pan for crispy dosa

* You can add rice (2 tablespoons) while grinding for extra crispiness

* Always spread the batter immediately after pouring
